Marjorie "Pat" Tetreault Obituary
Marjorie "Pat" Tetreault March 18, 1929 - August 20, 2011 Norwich - Pat left this world to begin her eternal life on Saturday August 20, 2011. She leaves behind family and friends who mourn her loss but are comforted in the knowledge that she is being joyously received by those who preceded her. Pat is known for her cheerful, optimistic view of life and these qualities sustained her through many adversities. Born March 18, 1929 to Joseph F. and Helen (Sullivan) Kalinowski, Pat was a 1947 graduate of NFA. She began a career in nursing, but marriage and four children altered her plans and she became a working wife and mother. Pat worked for many years at the Thermos Co. in Taftville and also waitressed for several years at the Maple Shade Inn. In her retirement, Pat loved to travel with family and often visited Walt Disney World and Amish Country in Lancaster County PA. Pat had a lifelong passion for all things Irish, including Notre Dame football and the QVC Irish Marathons on St. Patrick's Day and the Rose of Tralee in September. She was also an accomplished bowler and won numerous awards and trophies over many years in the Nutmeg League at Norwich Ten Pin. Pat is survived by her four children, Patricia Tetreault, Michael Tetreault, Karen Boyd and Timothy Tetreault and his wife Karen all of Norwich. Also, surviving are her six grandchildren, Paul Pont of Norwich, Michael Tetreault, Jr. and wife Melissa of Ronceverte, WV, Stacy and husband Charles Ahnell of Norwich, Kurt, Emmett and Calla Tetreault of Norwich; four great grandchildren, Michael III, Brianna, Caitlyn and Zachary Tetreault of Ronceverte, WV, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her former husband Rosario D. "Pete" Tetreault, her longtime companion Herman "Pudge" Chartier and also her brother Joseph and sister Margaret "Claire" Kalinowski. Visitation 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, where the funeral will assemble on Wednesday at 9 A.M. and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Mary Church. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in her memory to either St. Mary Church, 70 Central Ave., Norwich, CT 06360 or to the , 825 Brook St., Rock Hill, CT 06067
