Gerard Maurice "Moe" Corbeil Obituary
Gerard Maurice "Moe" Corbeil November 21, 1939 - April 7, 2012 Coventry, CT - Retired Plant Manager of National Electric Coil of Columbus Ohio, Auction Hunter and Outdoor Enthusiast, husband of Celinda A. (Whitford) Corbeil, died peacefully at Hartford Hospital. He was a childhood native of Wauregan, CT, the son of the late Cleophas and Blandine (Herbieux) Corbeil. He graduated in 1959 from Putnam Trade School/Ellis Tech in Killingly. He served in the Air Force (SAC) from 1960-1964 as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic with a tour in the Azores. Following his service he remained in Columbus Ohio. He and his wife Linda returned to Vernon CT in 1995 and subsequently built a home in Coventry CT. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Maurice Corbeil and stepchildren Jennifer (Kelly) Charlonne and her husband Alan, Paul Kelly and his wife Lynn, Catherine (Kelly) Napolitano, John Kelly and his wife Jennifer, Robert Kelly and his wife Sheryl and 24 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Lorraine Czeluzniak and her husband Bill of Columbia, CT and Leah Barbeau and her husband Paul of Mansfield, CT. He was predeceased by sister Lucille Caya and her husband Moe and sister Lillian Morin. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law Carmine Napolitano. Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 12th from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Gagnon and Costello 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 13th at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, followed by burial at All Hallows Cemetery, Moosup, with Military Honors.
