Michael R. Kieltyka Obituary
Michael R. Kieltyka September 8, 1964 - January 18, 2013 BROOKLYN - Michael Robert Kieltyka, 48, of Brooklyn died Friday at Hartford Hospital in Hartford. He was born September 8, 1964 in Putnam, son of Mary (Weaver) Kieltyka of Dayville and the late Robert Kieltyka. He was the husband of LeeAnn (Beaudreault) Kieltyka; they were married at St. James Church on September 19, 1992. Michael was a graduate of Killingly High School Class of 1982 where he was a member of the 1981 State Championship Football Team, a graduate of Quinebaug Valley Community College in 1998 and Eastern CT State University in 2001. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and worked in construction for many years, most recently working as an Insurance Adjustor. He was a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson. Michael was very involved in his daughter's soccer activities and was an avid UConn, Celtics, Red Sox and New England Patriot fan and loved his yearly Caribbean vacations. Besides his wife and mother he is survived by his daughter Erin Kieltyka of Brooklyn; sisters, Jane Kieltyka Simao and husband David of Tolland and Karen Kieltyka Brown and husband Christopher of West Newton, MA; brother Ron Kieltyka and Cindi Kasek of Danielson; mother and father-in-law, Leo and Sharon Beaudreault of Danielson, brothers-in-law Joe Beaudreault and wife Kerri and Leo Beaudreault Jr. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Church, Danielson. Burial with military honors will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. Calling hours will be held on Monday evening from 6-8 P.M. in Tillinghast Funeral Home, 433 Main Street, Danielson. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to The Erin Kieltyka College Education Fund c/o Putnam Bank, 40 Main Street, Putnam, CT 06260.
