Robin Ann (Kolodziej) Holowaty August 29, 1960 - March 21, 2013 Griswold - Robin Ann Holowaty, 52, of Hanes Lane in Griswold passed away Thursday morning, March 21, 2013 at W.W. Backus Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Robin was born August 29, 1960 in Blackfoot, ID daughter to Robert F. Kolodziej of Oakdale, CT formerly of Adams, MA and the late Janice M. (McGrath) Kolodziej. Robin was an Alumni to Montville High School as well as Mohegan Community College. She was a dedicated worker of the US Postal Service continually advancing her career until her final service as Postmaster of the Versailles Post Office. Robin's free time was spent expressing her artistic abilities through painting and craft making, as well as volunteering at The Jacques Cartier Club where she has been a member for many years. Besides her father she is survived by her former husband Roman Holowaty and their three children, son Christopher Holowaty, youngest daughter Michelle Holowaty both of Griswold, eldest daughter Samantha (Holowaty) Vecchitto and her husband Allen of Plainfield, a brother Robert Kolodziej Jr. of Waterford, two sisters Elizabeth Mauro of Old Lyme and Mary Jo Guillemette of Norwich as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held Tuesday March 26, 2013 at the Gagne-Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT from 5 P.M.-7 P.M. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Jewett City on Wednesday March 27th at 10am followed by a celebration of life at The Jacques Cartier Club in Jewett City.
