Paul,

Like Brenda said, so many people who knew you are better people because of you. I'm one of them. To the nicest boss I ever had. May God watch over your family always. Enjoy your new journey, my friend.

Nathan and Shawn, I am so very sorry to hear of your Dads death. We were very good friends from the Elks. We had so many laughs together especially at the card table. We also had many serious conversations. I know he was so proud of you and you will miss him terribly. I will be praying for you and I do know how you feel. I lost my Dad on August 18th to cancer. It was very quick and he did not suffer but it makes the loss no easier. I think of your Dad everytime I see Kansas city play football. He was a true fan and a great friend and I am proud he was my brother Elk. Annie, as your Dad called me that!

Paul, Thanks for the memories...you never failed to make us laugh. You were always the "life of the party" at every Napa Christmas party and summer party. Your infectious laugh and "warped" sense of humor kept us all amused. Thank you for being my "pin cushion" when I was in nursing school and alleviating my fear of giving injections! You will be missed! Party on! My heartfelt condolences to Paul's sons Nathan and Shawn.

Paul a.k.a. Paugy, Pounder, Maestro and many other nicknames, but the name that meant the most to him, the one that described him best is Dad. Nathan and Shawn were lucky to have a dad like Paul. Paul couldn't be prouder of his boys. He couldn't love them more. His boys were his life. I have had a lot of time to reflect on the past and have so many great memories. Although Paul and I were apart, we remained a team when it came to raising our children. Our children are now wonderful men. I know that Paul is by their side even at this moment. I know he is proud of the strength and courage they have had since he left this earth. I pray that he will help me to continue to be strong and finish the job we started together. I have lost my teammate. Although the boys are men, there will be times when they need their parents. I can never be their dad, but I am sure if I ask he will show me the way. ... Paul may not be here for us to see, but he will always be here in our hearts and never be forgotten. He lives on in his sons and his granddaughter. Paul will always have a special place in my heart. He also took a piece of my heart with him. He fought a hard fight. Many would have given up long ago. Those who knew him are better people because of him. Paul, I hope you are finally at peace. You have definitely earned your wings. Fly like the wind....??
