BRUCE SIGNOR 1936 - 2016
South Windham - Bruce (Mark) Signor, age 80, of So. Windham died December 3, 2016 at Middlesex Hospital of acute pneumonia. He was born July 15, 1936 in Greenwich, New York to Marion Alice Bruce and Norman Everett Signor. He attended St. Mary's Elementary and High Schools in Glens Falls, New York, obtained a B.S.Degree in Marketing from Central CT University and studied Health Care Administration at Western CT University.
Bruce's employment included Banking, grocery manager, salesman at Udolph's Men's Clothing in Hartford, coordinator of Employee Assistance Program at Wheeler Clinic in Plainville where he also helped develop the Connecticut Pre-Trial Education System for drivers arrested on DWI charges. His last employer was McCall Foundation where he facilitated the mandatory training for DWI drivers.
Bruce loved music, especially jazz. He had a beautiful singing voice, appearing on the radio in his youth and also playing bass in a band. He loved good food, basketball, swimming or spear fishing on the Rhode Island shore and his white Camaro. He was most proud of his work as a substance abuse counselor where he helped many on the road to recovery.
He leaves his wife, Jean (Stamato), two sons, Mark (Kim) of No Stonington, Jay(Jean) of Marlborough,CT, a daughter, Laura Rugar of Wethersfield and eight grandchildren. Also, he will be missed by step daughters Melissa Laws(Todd), of Lebanon, Deborah Donat (David) of Salem and seven step grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Lebanon at 10:30 A.M.with reception to immediately follow at the Log Cabin Restaurant in Lebanon. In lieu of flowers a donation in his name may be made to American Lung Association/New England or McCall Center for Behavioral Health, Torrington,CT.

Aunt Jean
We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dear Bruce. Even though, Mom and I only met Bruce on a few trips he will certainly be remembered for his kindness, story telling and fun loving nature.

It's hard to forget someone, who gave so much to remember. May your heart be filled with happy memories.

Aunt Jean,
We're so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dear Bruce. Even though my Mom and I only meet Bruce on a few trips, he will certainly be remembered for his kindness, story telling and fun loving nature. He sure was a treasure.
