Floyd "Hank" William Hinrichsen, 82, of North Platte, passed away Dec. 28, 2012, at his home.
Hank was born March 9, 1930, in Overton, to Walter and Anna (Hemstrom) Hinrichsen. He grew up in Overton and then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. From August 1951 to April 1953 he served in the Army, including 16 months in Korea. He came home and returned to work for the Union Pacific. He married Margery Lewis, the love of his life, on May 16, 1954. He retired from the railroad in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, waterskiing and his family, especially his grandchildren.
Hank is survived by his wife, Margery; daughter, Kim Hinrichsen, of North Platte; son, Keith (Cathy) Hinrichsen, of North Platte; grandchildren, Gregory (Pricilla) Vega, Nicole Vega, Alexis and Alex Hinrichsen; great-grandchildren, Taysen and Emma Vega; siblings, Wilmer (Fern) Hinrichsen, of Elm Creek, Dean Hinrichsen, of Overton, Ray (Mary Jane) Hinrichsen, of Grand Island, Jay (Deliah) Hinrichsen, of Kearney, Delores (Louie) Roper, of Sargent, Phyllis (Norm) Richardson, of Elm Creek, and Lucile (George) Moore, of Overton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 31, at the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Delp officiating. Burial will follow at the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 29-30, at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
