BRYCE, Ronald
BRYCE, Ronald Campbell (Ron) Passed peacefully away in his 95th year on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at The Waterford senior's home in Tsawwassen, BC. Ron was born on August 8, 1920 in Saskatchewan, where he lived in various places with his close and loving family including three brothers, Hugh, Arthur and Alistair (all deceased), and sister Muriel (now Pritchard). He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, interrupted by his service in the Navy during WWII, then returned to study Business Administration and Industrial Relations at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Ron worked for Ontario Hydro for most of his career, with a short time at Atomic Energy of Canada (AECL!). He was married to Mary (Fidler), who he met on a tennis court, and with whom he had four children, Bob, Bill (deceased), Marilyn and Katy, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He took early retirement from Ontario Hydro and bought a farm near Chesley, Ontario, from where they began to travel to Florida for the winters. Ron and Mary moved to Tsawwassen in 1988, where he was an active member of St. David's Anglican Church as well as the Lawn Bowling Club and the Legion. Throughout his life, he was also a keen (and competitive) curler and tennis player and loved to be in the outdoors, fishing and camping. Due to his great sense of humour and the ability to laugh, especially at himself, Ron was an asset to any gathering. His love of singing, which he shared with his whole family, brought much joy, and sometimes tears. He participated in choirs, both in his places of residence in Canada and in his winter home in Estero, Florida, and could always be counted on to contribute a rendition of Harry Lauder's "She's the Lass for Me". His Scottish heritage also made the appreciation of a wee dram a must, and was the only medication he took for most of his life! We raise a glass of cheer to celebrate this kind, generous, tolerant and wonderful man, Ron Bryce! Service will be announced for a later date. On-line condolences may be placed at www.deltafuneral.ca Delta Funeral Home (604) 946-6040

Busby, Carl M.
It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden death of Carl Martin Busby, 72, from North Vancouver. Carl's family and friends are devastated by the void that Carl's absence has created and we can't imagine life without him. Carl was a kind, loving, funny, tenacious, curious, and clever gentleman. He was generous with his time, talents, resources, and energy. A testament to this was his wide circle of friends, acquaintances, business colleagues, and family; he was deeply loved by many. Carl is sadly predeceased by his son John, his first wife Carolyn, and his sister Audrey. A celebration of Carl's life will be held on Sunday August 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Boal Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC, V7J-2J1. Instead of sending flowers, please spend time with people you love doing things you enjoy. This would make Carl happy. Miriam, Cori, David, Alexandra and Jonathon thank their friends, family and community for their kindness and understanding during this difficult time.

BURKART, Grayce Delores
BURKART, Grayce Delores April 13, 1921 - July 24, 2015 Grayce said goodbye to us on Friday, July 24th as she left on a wonderful journey which she had been preparing for the past three years. She left to be with her husband Herman (Burk), her daughter Darla Jeanne, her baby son Chris, and great grandson Shawn who have been waiting for her for many years. She has gone to a magnificent place where flowers never stop blooming, birds sing joyfully, mountains are full of life and colour, oceans are warm, clean and a beautiful deep blue. Waterfalls are plentiful and the beauty is beyond our imagination. She is finally out of pain and can walk again. Her mind is clear and her voice has come back. She will be wearing fabulous earrings, colourful shoes and of course her sunglasses. She will be able to eat all the ice cream and chocolate she wants and won't gain a pound. This is her time to be at peace. She will be remembered as being strong, the lady who loved anything pink, feisty and our mother, grandmother and great grandmother. We are honoured to have had her as the leader of our pack. Daughters Linda Stewart (Dave), Carol McCormick, Susan Fisher (Roger), granddaughter Linda Sue Evans (Roy), grandsons Dave Stewart (Helena), Derrick and Chris Gaede, great grandsons Burk and Caleb Johnston. We would like to thank the caregivers and staff at Capilano Care Centre for their kindness and care they gave her. A special thank you to Robyn Holmberg for being such a great support to her.
