July 12, 1925 - March 12, 2013
Life will be very different now with the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother and best friend. Family functions will be slightly less exciting, certainly quieter without her infectious laugh and comical anecdotes. She was so full of life, always a big smile and a positive attitude. ''Lovely to be around'' my friends would say and ''terribly charming''. After raising 5 children (affectionately known as the brats) Mom went back into nursing at VGH for 10 years and then enjoyed travelling the world with Papa Ronnie. After Ron Kitching's passing Mom moved from North Van to West Van. She enjoyed lawn bowling for 19 yrs, was the head volunteer gardener and competed in the BC Summer games. Dolores is survived by her daughters Andrea Bernstein, Michele Lawrence, Shelley Williams and her sons Cal Williams and David Kitching, her five grandchildren Ryan Clancey, Michael Williams, Jeffrey, Joanna and Pamela Bernstein and Rebecca Matthews with great granddaughter Basil. We would like to thank the staff at Hollyburn House Care Centre for their wonderful care and attention and to Dr. Knight for being the nicest doctor in the world. No service by request but a Wake will be held in her honor.
We'll love you forever, we'll love you for always, forever and ever our Mommy you'll be!
