Richard Elliott "Rick" TURNER

TURNER - Richard Elliott December 24, 2013 Known for his love of music and sense of humour, Rick brought happiness to many people in his 67 years, including his family: wife Judith Clark; children David, Laura and Daniel and their spouses and children; parents Allan (deceased) and Helen Turner; brother Craig; and the Turner, Cooke and Clark clans. He practised law in Coquitlam, New West and N. Van and lived in Lynn Valley since 1978. He was an accomplished but modest amateur guitarist, playing at family gatherings and for his church family at Lynn Valley United. He sang in the church choir and the ByoV Community Choir. He had a long walk with kidney cancer and was grateful for the care received throughout, especially from family doctor Mary Robertson and the staff at the N. S. Community Dialysis Centre. A memorial service will be at Lynn Valley United Church, N. Vancouver, at 2 pm on Sat., January 18, 2014. For those who wish to make a memorial gift, the family suggests Lynn Valley UC memorial fund, Camp Fircom, LGH, or the Kidney Foundation.
