Fishwick, Annie (Anne), (nee Gibson) July 18, 1910 - August 4, 2014 Passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side at the West Shore Laylum in Ladner at the age of 104. Anne was predeceased by her husband Tom in 1981 and granddaughter Barbara in 1985. Survived by daughters Lois (Vic) Berndl, Agnes Bolivar, and son Jim (Sandra), grandsons Craig, Shawn, Steve and Tom, and granddaughters Arlene, Sharon, Christine and Karen, also 13 great grandchildren. Mom celebrated her 104th birthday just two weeks ago surrounded by her proud and loving family. She will be sorely missed. Although she was failing physically in the past few years Anne was greatly admired by all those who knew her for a keen and active mind, and a quick and sharp wit. She had an unshakeable faith that the end to this life would be simply a bridge to an even better place. Anne was an active member of the Presbyterian Church for most of her life and in recent years attended the Tsawwassen United Church. Anne often spoke of the care given by the staff at West Shore Laylum and the Waterford in Tsawwassen. She and her family are very grateful for the wonderful treatment given her so freely. A gathering in celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, August 30th, at Tsawwassen United Church, 693 - 53rd Street, Tsawwassen, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Presbyterian PWS&D fund or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
