Diane was born in Vancouver on January 20, 1929, and passed away on November 21, 2012 in Lions Gate Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by her family, devoted husband Jack, son Joe [Katherine] daughter Laura [Mark], siblings Dick [Jan], Barbara [Ken] and Arnie [Joan], grandchildren Maila [Avi], Freyja
[Eldon], Kyle [Jami], Alanna [Jason], Peter, great-grandchildren
Charlie and Sienna, nieces and nephews, and many longtime friends.
Diane's married life and adventures of 61+ years with husband Jack began in 1950 in Port Alberni. The family lived in the Pemberton Heights neighbourhood beginning in 1962.
Diane was a devoted wife, mother and Grannie.
Diane worked at Woodwards from 1946 - 1950, and remained an active member of the Woodpens Club throughout her life. She was an amazing seamstress, and taught sewing and pattern drafting workshops for many years. She received accreditation as a Master Knitter through the Knitters Guild of Canada, and
enjoyed both watercolour painting and photography. She enjoyed many opportunities and experiences to explore the BC outdoors with her family and friends. In recent years, she enjoyed her weekly visits at the North Shore Stroke Recovery Centre. She was an inspiration to her family, friends and many others.
The family thanks Dr. Dana Haaf and Dr. Richard Lupton, family doctors, for Diane's care. Dr. Barry Sauser, chiropractor, is appreciated for his many years of caring attention to keep her comfortable. Sincere thanks to the Lions Gate Hospital ICU

A memorial service and reception for Diane will be held on Monday, December 3rd at 2:00 P.M at the Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Rd., North Vancouver B.C.
