Nancy "Bobby" Brandon (1923 - 2013)

The Guest Book is expired.

After a long hard good-bye, Bobby will be lovingly remembered by her children Judy, Mike, Shelley (Howard) and Elaine (Sandy). Bobby was a caring and attentive Grandma to Mike and Steven Gray, Sarah Brandon, Ryan (Esther) and Russell Soanes, Brandon and Garrett White. Great Grandma to Kevin and Kyle Soanes. Bobby was born in the farming community of Kyle, Saskatchewan. She grew up tending to farm animals and riding her horses to school. Proud to wear the Canadian Naval uniform, Bobby served during WWII as a WREN (Women's Royal Naval Service) working in the naval hospitals of eastern Canada. This is where she met her husband Alf, before moving with him to North Vancouver. They were married for 48 years before he predeceased her in 1994.

An inspiration to her family, she returned to university at the age of 37 to complete her teaching credentials. She then flourished as an elementary school teacher before retirement and then continued her teaching skills with her many grandchildren. Everything she took on in life was with great gusto and hard work, and along with Alf built many great memories for the family at Green Lake "The Cabin", and for that we are eternally grateful. She will be greatly missed.
