BROUGHTON, William W.K. (Bill) Oct. 8, 1949 - Jan. 19, 2014 Bill passed peacefully at the Sunshine Coast Hospice in Sechelt. As a self-professed "Renaissance Man", he was a lover of Science and the Arts. Bill's interest in the academics led to pursuing a career in teaching where he touched many lives and made a positive impact in North Vancouver Secondary Schools for 33 years. His varied talents and interests included all aspects of the Theatre, making music, gardening, classic cars and the Canucks. The family wishes to thank the compassionate staff at St. Mary's Hospital and especially Lisa at the Hospice. No service at this time. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Bill's memory to the Sunshine Coast Hospice (www.coasthospice.ca) He is survived by his wife Laurie, children Matthew (Meg) and Lauren, sister Mary (Ron), father-in-law Cliff (Irene), sisters-in-law Susan (Phil)and Karen(John), niece and several nephews , Matthew's mother Toni.
