ROSS, Alice Betty Alice was born in Vancouver June 10, 1928 and passed away at Lions Gate Hospital April 7th, 2014. As a child of the depression years and a teenager in the war years, Alice grew into a beautiful, strong and resilient young woman. At the close of WW2 she was swept off her feet by RCAF pilot Al Ross. They married in 1947, children Betty, Kathy & Dave quickly followed. Alice & Al spent most of their life in Vancouver, a city she dearly loved. They spent 10 years in Salmon Arm, BC before retiring to North Vancouver. Alice's life was dedicated to the caring, love and well being of her family, including 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. After Al's passing she spent 10 wonderful years at Kiwanis Lynn Manor with a new and beloved group of friends who shared her love of the Canucks, coffee, chocolate and chatter. There will be no service, at Alice's request. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorial contributions may be made to Lions Gate Hospital Foundation or The Union Gospel Mission.
