NAGY, Caroline Gale Barbara In her 71st year, entered into rest at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver on August 3, 2014. Caroline was the eldest of four children born to Gordon and Emma. She grew up in Richmond and was a long time resident of the North Shore. Caroline was a spirited woman who always made her presence felt. She had a generous and loving heart and held a strong belief in the value of family. She believed the nuclear family is the cell of society and often expressed her belief it took a village to raise a child. Caroline loved children and animals, especially her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, grand children and of course her cat Princess Sheba. She enjoyed cooking and toying with her garden. Caroline had a beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and great sense of humour. She was known for her commanding, heartfelt hugs and had a real zest for life. Caroline is lovingly remembered by her partner of many years, Robert; her mother Emma; siblings Gerald (Elaine), Darlene (Willie), and Kirk (Marianne); step children Lisa (Dale) and Mischa; grandchildren Breanna, Alexis and Lia; nieces and nephews Jennifer (Michael), Luke (Bobby Joe), Jessica (Greg), Joshua (Carla), Corinna and Kyle; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Caroline was predeceased by her father Gordon. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Trinity Church on Friday, August 15th at 11:00am at 2725 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, BC V7N 3J2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA, the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
