Ada Mae Grimsley, 90, of Flint Hill, VA, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Steve Guizar. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Grimsley was born September 7, 1923 in Flint Hill ,VA , daughter of the late Clarence M. and Lelia Pullen. She retired as an inspector from the Aileen Plant in Flint Hill where she worked for over 20 years and was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
Her husband, George T. Grimsley, whom she married on September 14, 1943, preceded her in death in 1995.
Surviving is a son Ashby Grimsley of Front Royal and his companion Betty Rowzie; a daughter Joyce James of Flint Hill; a son Walter Grimsley of Flint Hill; a sister Edna Lillard of Flint Hill; a brother Arthur Pullen of Bealeton, VA; 10 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Grimsley was preceded in death by a son, Russell Grimsley; sister, Ida Ralls and brothers Moffett Pullen and J.W. Pullen.
Pallbearers will be Bud Corder, Kenny Pullen, Dale Welch, Junior Pullen, Jimmy Ralls, and Michael Grimsley.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family very much. She especially loved cooking for them until she was no longer able. We will miss her so much. Rest in peace mom, we love you.
