Peggy Jo Morgan Page, 45, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, October 8, 2012, in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Mrs. Page was born in 1967 in Arlington, Virginia, the daughter of Anita Mae Morgan of Mount Jackson, Virginia and the late Richard Howard Morgan.
She was a graduate of James Wood High School, Class of 1985 and of Lord Fairfax Community College where she received an Associate's Degree in Accounting. Mrs. Page was a secretary for Battery Mart in Winchester for the past 6 years and previously with Abex for 17 years. She was a faithful member of the Congregational Christian Fellowship Church where she served as a deacon and choir member. Mrs. Page was a member of Eagles Aerie #824 in Winchester and participated in the re-enactments of the 35th Virginia Calvary, White's Comanche's with her husband. Mrs. Page loved horseback riding and all animals, but most especially her chickens, which she lovingly called "her girls".
She married Dennis Brice Page on March 24, 2012, in Winchester, Virginia.
Surviving with her mother and husband is her daughter, Melissa Emily Dunlap; step-daughter, Joyella Spring Page; step-son, Dennis Brice Page, Jr., all of Winchester; and 8 step-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father; and grandparents, Samuel P. Morgan, Sr., and Mattie Morgan.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, with Reverend Robert G. Stainback officiating. Interment will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Members of the 35th Virginia Cavalry will serve as pallbearers.
Memorial contributions in memory of Peggy Jo may be made to Congregational Christian Fellowship Church, 2908 Middle Road, Winchester, VA 22602.
