Airhart, Dennis Lee "Fuzzy" - Front Royal  
Dennis Lee "Fuzzy" Airhart, 62, of Front Royal, VA, died on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Winchester Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Diann Whetzel and Sammy Campbell. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the burial at Front Royal Church of the Brethren. Fuzzy was born April 17, 1952 in Front Royal, VA, son of the late James M. Airhart and Nellie Hottle Airhart. He retired as a carpenter and was a member of the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor Airhart of Front Royal; one brother, David Airhart and wife, Linda; one sister, Delores Garber; one aunt, Helen Marie Partlow; 21 nieces and nephews; 46 great nieces and nephews; seven great-great nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, "Baby". He was preceded in death by three brothers, James W. Airhart, Gene B. Airhart, and Charles A. Airhart. Pallbearers will be nephews, Tony Airhart, Gene Airhart Jr., Jamie Mahoney, Michael Henry, Jared Alley, and Cliff Dodson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Henry, Gary Jenkins III, Matthew Terry, George Dodson III, Benjamin Vogt, Robert Henry, III, Anthony "T.J." Airhart, Robbie Garber, and Tyler Clater. Barrett, Margery A. - Strasburg  
Margery Annetta Barrett, 85, of Strasburg, passed away Saturday at her home. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.

Donovan, Audrey Louise (Sealock) - Front Royal  
Audrey Louise Sealock Donovan, 86, of Front Royal, VA, died on Friday, January 23, 2015 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints conducted by Bishop Byron Hutchings. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Donovan was born March 29, 1928 in Front Royal, VA, daughter of the late Russell Adam Sealock and Minnie Virginia Derflinger Sealock. She retired as a trust auditor with Riggs Bank in Washington, D.C. She was married to the late Charles Calvin Donovan. Mrs. Donovan was a member of the Dolly Madison Quilting Group in Orange, VA and was a past member of the Cardinal Quilting Group in Alexandria, VA. Surviving are one son, Ronald Calvin Donovan of Louisa, VA; two daughters, Linda Diane Donovan of Gray, KY and Joyce Fay Papaj of Louisa, VA; one sister, Betty McFarland of Franklin, VA; two grandchildren, Charles Sutton and Robin Maricle; three great-grandchildren, Alison Maricle, Russell Maricle, and Sarah Maricle; and numerous nieces and nephews. Estep, John Bobby - Woodstock  
John Bobby Estep, 81, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully with his wife of 20 years by his side on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren in Edinburg. Pastor Mark Bowyer and Rev. Jimmy Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 1:00 p.m. Mr. Estep was born on December 23, 1933 in Mt. Jackson. He was the son of the late Charles William and Amanda Foltz Estep. He was a 1953 graduate of Triplett High School where he was a member of the FFA band and was chosen to participate in the National FFA Band in Kansas City in 1951. That was something he was so very proud of! He was a member of Wakemans Grove Church of the Brethren, where he was a member of the church board and served on various committees. Bob worked 39 years as a meat cutter for Safeway. He retired in 1991, to care for his wife, Betty Barrick Estep. She passed away in January 1992. They were married for 38 years. He worked as a support person for the Lee District of the George Washington National Forest in Edinburg. He was a member of the Masons, Hunter Lodge 135 of Edinburg, the American Legion, and served in the National Guard. Mr. Estep was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Nancy; his step-mother, Virginia Estep and his daughter in-law, Terry Estep. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Fahnesock Estep of Woodstock; three children, Philip Estep, Sheila Estep Trelawny and husband Edward, Eric Estep and wife Dawn; sister, Luella Sager and husband Jerry; brother, Ricky Allen Estep and wife Sandra; step-children, Danny Utley, Karen Routhier and Johnny Utley; six grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Aaron Estep, Luke Estep, William Trelawny, John Trelawny, Danny Utley and Johnny Utley. Honorary pallbearers will be Dillon Trelawny, Leon Estep, Ray Wakeman, and Linden Wakeman, Jay Collette and Jerry Funkhouser. Hareford, Audrey McKenzie - Elkton  
Audrey McKenzie Hareford, 62 of Elkton, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at the home of her daughter. Mrs. Hareford was born May 11, 1952 in New Market, daughter of the late George Franklin McKenzie, Sr. and Helen Geneva Dinges McKenzie. Mrs. Hareford was a member of Faith Alive Fellowship Church in Elkton. She is survived by her husband, Ricky William Hareford; two daughters, Michelle Dove and Angela Knupp, both of Elkton; a son, Raymond Knupp, Jr. of Timberville; a sister, Flora Strode of Quicksburg; a brother, George Franklin McKenzie, Jr. of Quicksburg; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. Donnie Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Anthony Knupp, Aaron Knupp, Nicolas Knupp, Marcus Knupp, Zachary Smith and Brenden Ritchie. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Kerns, Alma Perry - Winchester  
Alma Perry Kerns was born October 25, 1925 to the late Alice Roberta Adams Royston Perry and William Alfred Perry, Sr. in Winchester. She passed away just a few blocks from her beloved South Kent Street home on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, in the company of her loving family. She married Russell Irvin Kerns and celebrated almost 25 years of marriage, before he passed in May of 1971. She is survived by her children, Charles "Bake/Charlie" Kerns and his wife, Georgianna, of Pall Mall, Tennessee, Alma Russell "Sis" Gaunt, and Maxine Irvin "Mackie" Kerns of Winchester; grandchildren, Russell "Tater" Kerns, Lilliallen Gaunt Plummer, Kristle Kerns, and Pam Kerns Baker; great grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Megan and Chase Kerns; two great great grandchildren, Hunter and Bailey; her special grand dog, Puddie Royston, and a few Kerns Katz; brothers, Bill Perry, Jr. of Front Royal and Ed Grim of Winchester; a sister, Alice "Liz" Fletcher of Winchester; numerous nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends, Floyd Ebersole, Judy Snyder, Gary "Monkey" Peacemaker, and Patty Weaver, all of Winchester. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Alva "Grimmie" Grim; brother, Burr Grim; sisters, Louise Perry Dentry and Yvonne Love "Evie" Perry Brendle; and grandson, Charles Riley Gaunt. Alma was an industrious person, busy working around her home, obtained her GED high school equivalency, and was an advocate for education. She loved to dance, enjoyed all kinds of music and considered herself a champion horseshoe player. She volunteered for the Virginia Leukemia Radiothon from 1980-1986, was an Honorary member of Millwood Station Fire and Rescue Auxiliary, and was of the Methodist faith. Alma never met a stranger and was a true and faithful friend who loved to help others and enjoyed life throughout her 89 years. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony A. Wadsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Kerns' grandsons and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Donna Michel, Floyd Ebersole, Gary âMonkeyã Peacemaker, and Charles Zuckerman. Esther F. "Ricky" Peer Mowrey, age 88, a resident of Maurertown, VA passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at her residence. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Middletown, VA. She was born on June 15, 1926, a daughter of the late Fitzhugh Cleveland Peer, Sr. and Eula Esther Brill Peer. She was a member of Valley Pike Church of the Brethren and the wife of the late, Glen Audine Mowrey. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by siblings, Fitzhugh C. Peer, Jr., Vincent E. Peer, Thurston S. Peer, Alexander G. âDaveã Peer, James L. Peer, and a nephew, David F. Frederick. Survivors include her sisters, Barbara Estelle Frederick of Front Royal, VA and Nancy Bell Peer of Maurertown, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
