Mitchell, Mamie Virginia (Solomon) - Strasburg  
Mamie Virginia Solomon Mitchell, 43, a resident of Strasburg, VA, departed into God's loving arms at her residence on Sunday, May 22, 2016 surrounded by her family and friends. A funeral service for Mamie will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Liberty Baptist Church, 29110 Old Valley Pike, Strasburg, VA with Pastor Chuck Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg, VA. She was born on March 29, 1973, a daughter of Nancy Butler Solomon and the late Walter "Benny" Solomon. She is a 1991 Graduate of Strasburg High School and attended Lord Fairfax Community College. She was an employee of Mercury Paper, a division of Oasis Brand, Inc. Mamie was raised surrounded by all the ball players and track athletes while her father coached them, which followed her throughout her life with the youth league athletes of baseball, basketball and football. She took them under her wing and they took care of her. She is now their angel. Survivors include her mother, Nancy B. Solomom; her loving husband, Willis A. Mitchell III; her loving son, Cameron Gellner; the best baby brother, Adam Solomon and sister-in-law, Senseny; and her niece "Mini-Me" Ava Solomon, all of Strasburg, VA; her four legged companion, Romeyoh; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be John Tatum, Daniel Wilson, Jason Atkins, Geoff VanAnden, BJ Bischoff and Ryan Turner. The Strasburg Class of 1991 will serve as honorary pallbearers. Morris, Ermand Wilson - Front Royal  
Ermand Wilson Morris, 93, of Front Royal, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Center in Winchester. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 12 p.m. in the Williams Family Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Burke and Pastor Mike McCartney officiating. Mr. Morris was born on March 15, 1923 in Green County, son of the late Prentiss and Ronie Morris. He was a charter and founding member of the Chester Gap Fire Department and a member of the Chester Gap Baptist Church. He also attended First Assembly of God Church in Front Royal. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Phyllis Williams Morris; one grandson Rocky Morris; step grandson, Trent Williams; two brothers; and three sisters. Surviving are his wife, Margaret Burke Morris; two sons, Ronald A. Morris and wife Barbara of Chester Gap, and Roger L. Morris and wife Jerri of Browntown; three step daughters, Nancy Hively and husband Bobby, Kathrine Martin and husband George, and Margaret Williams and husband Duane; one brother, Lebert Morris and wife Betty of Front Royal; one sister, Mrs. Frankie Knight of Waldorf, MD; two grandsons, Aaron Morris and wife Susie, and Issac Morris and wife Jessica; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the Chester Gap Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Aaron Morris, Issac Morris, Jeff Leake, Donald G. Omps, Lula Jennie - Woodstck  
Lula Jennie Omps, 84 of Woodstock, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Winchester Medical Center. Funeral Services were held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Burial was in Sunset View Memorial Gardens. Reverends Brian Duncan and Randy Whetzel officiated. Lula was born September 1, 1931 in Berkley Springs, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Alva and Myrtle Mason. She retired as an inspector from Shenandoah Knitting Mills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Omps; a daughter, Joyce Burner; a granddaughter, Brandy Walters; five brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by three daughters, Roxanne Thorpe and husband Doug of Woodstock, Irene Parsons and husband Gerald of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Tammy Neal and husband Roy of Toms Brook; two sisters, Betty Calvin of Winchester and Bernadine Unger of Berkley Springs, West Virginia; four grandchildren; two step grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Josh Burner, Cody Neal, Mike Parsons, Gerald Parsons, Doug Thorpe, Chase Kerns and Roy Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be Brianna Green, Tyler Parsons, Austin Parsons, Cameron Parsons, Emily Burner, Madyson Burner, Kylie Burner, Gage Walters, Jennifer Neal, Terri Green and Gregory Neal. The family received friends at the funeral home from 6-8 on Saturday, May 21, 2016.
