Charles R. Sager, 81 of Mt. Crawford, passed away November 21, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Sager was born February 28, 1932 in Pittsburgh, PA and was the son of the late Charles E. and Mary E. Landis Sager.
He grew up in Pittsburgh and was a graduate of Edgewood High School, and attended California State Teacher College in California, PA and served in the U.S. Navy
during the Korean War
. He was an avid gun enthusiast, buying, selling, trading and enjoyed reloading, and going to auctions. He was a retired truck driver, having driven for Trail Ways, Smith Transfer and McLean. After retirement he enjoyed driving for J.M.U. sport teams, and Travel Mates.
Mr. Sager is survived by his wife, Clo (Daugherty) Sager; a son, David Sager and wife, Dana Landacre, Harrisonburg; a daughter, Martha Kelly and husband, Richard, Harrisonburg; a grandchild, Heather Higgins, and husband, Steve; two great-grandchildren, William Higgins and Kaitlyn Higgins.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at the Grace United Church of Christ near Mt. Jackson.
