Glenn L. White, 81, of Middletown (Warren County), Virginia, died Saturday, November 16, 2013, in the Winchester Medical Center.
Mr. White was born March 19, 1932, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, son of Lee and Ruth Spotz White.
He received a B.S. degree in education from Millersville University. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict
and served in the U. S. Army
for four years.
Mr. White was a project scheduling computer consultant having written three books related to his career. He served on the Warren County Board of Supervisors, Warren County Planning Commission, Library Board, and Airport Commission. He served twelve years on the Fairfax City Council. He was president of the Whiteberry Jampot and a realtor. He enjoyed theater. Some of the theater groups he was affiliated with were: American Century Theater, Little Theater of Alexandria, Georgetown Gilbert and Sullivan Society, and FairStage. He especially enjoyed music which included singing in church choirs and local choral groups.
He will be most remembered as a good man and a good father.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years Nancy M. White; four daughters, Deborah of Fairfax, Suanne of Springfield, Rebecca of Crozet, and Pamela of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Adele of Columbia, South Carolina; a brother, Steve of Middletown, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Episcopal Church for outreach programs, P.O. Box 62, Front Royal, VA 22630.
Arrangements are being handled by Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal.
