Hubert Burt Clark Jr. (1924-2014)

Hubert Burt Clark, Jr. 89 of Edinburg died Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Winchester Medical Center.

Mr. Clark was born in Zebulon, North Carolina on September 30, 1924, the son of the late Hubert Burt Clark, Sr. and Ellen Bragg Clark.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II and was a supervisor for the United States Post Office. He was a member of First Baptist Church, the American Legion, and the VFW.

Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his wives, Ellen A. Clark and Barbara A. Clark.

Mr. Clark is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Clark of Edinburg and Ronald Clark of South Port, North Carolina; a sister, Mary Ellen Cox of Okeechobee, Florida; a brother, Maylon Clark of Lady Lake, Florida; two grandchildren, David Clark of Newnan, Georgia and Heather Barnett of Gloucester, Virginia.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014, 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church, Woodstock with the Rev. Darryle George officiating. Burial will follow at the Cedarwood Cemetery.
