Ida Frances Jenkins Cameron, 81, of Front Royal, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at Winchester Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 18, at 11:00 a.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Everett Powell. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Ida was born January 11, 1932 in Rappahannock County, daughter of the late Henry Calvin Jenkins, Sr. and Mamie Prince Jenkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Guy Cameron, Sr.
Mrs. Cameron was a member of the Front Royal Women of the Moose
Lodge #1194, loved music and sitting in the sun.
She is survived by her step-mother, Mary H. Jenkins; four daughters, Shelbert Jenkins and husband Gary of Boonesboro, MD, Judy Cameron Bartlett of Frederick, MD, Patricia "Patty" Cameron Aliff and husband Walter Wayne Aliff of Hedgesville, WV, and Lisa Cameron Welsh and husband Gary of Front Royal; three sons, Melvin Cameron, Jr. of Culpeper, Roger Cameron of Front Royal, and Michael Cameron, Sr. of Hedgesville, WV; one sister, Margaret Thorpe of Front Royal; 19 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons David Dwayne Aliff, Brian Steven Aliff, Derek Curtis Aliff, Aaron Lee Cameron, Dwayne Michael Cameron, and Eric Allen Cameron.
Honorary pallbearers will be Maxie Lee "Butchie Cameron and Timothy Paul Cameron.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 17, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
