James Donald (Jim) Wagner, Jr., 64, of Woodstock, died Saturday, March 2, 2013.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Wagner was born September 21, 1948. He was the son of the late George and Helen Smith Brill.
He was a Life Member of the Woodstock Volunteer Rescue Squad where he served as Captain and had over forty years of service. He also served as the chairperson of the EMS Exchange program with the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads. Jim was a Navy veteran serving during Vietnam and in the Naval Reserve for many years. Jim had his own business as a mechanical engineer and most recently was employed at The Smokehaus and the Valley Health Heart Attack Risk Program. Jim was a lifelong musician playing in several local bands, making many friends, and sharing his talent.
He is survived by his wife, Karen D. Wagner of Woodstock; a son, Robert DuBrueler and wife Susan of Maurertown; and five grandchildren that he greatly adored, Brooklyn DuBrueler, Nathan Shank, Matthew Shank, Austin Shank, and Milo DuBrueler.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, March 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
Pallbearers will be Gary Dalton, Richard Hockman, Brian Shank, Keith Alexander, Andy Daniel, and Mike Seal. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Woodstock Volunteer Rescue Squad.
