Lisa Lynn Ward, 46, of Edinburg, died Friday, February 21, 2014 at her home.
Lisa was born May 28, 1967 at Woodstock, Virginia the daughter of the late Shirley "Boots" Ruby and Roxie Lee Bradfield Ruby.
She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1985. Lisa worked with J. N. Davis Real Estate until diagnosed with MS in 1995. She was a loving mother, sister, wonderful homemaker, friend and provider. Lisa was a member of Antioch Church of the Brethren.
Along with her parents Lisa is preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Ruby.
Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Michael Wayne Ward, whom she married on September 20, 1986; daughters, Lindsey and Morgan Ward; brothers, Steve Ruby of Gloucester and Michael Ruby of Tennessee; nephews, Tony and Joey Ruby; two grandsons, Gavin and Brantley; and life-long friend, Dorinda Atchison.
A viewing will be held on Sunday from 12 noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Valley Funeral Chapel, where services will be held on Monday, February 24, 2014, 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Brian Duncan. Burial will follow in Massanutten Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeramiah Bennett, Gary Clark, David Dodson, Jamie Dodson, Timmy Smoot, and Allen Dodson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew Cook and Brandan Kibler.
Family and friends are welcome at the residence of the Ward family home, anytime Sunday.
