Lottie May Hockman, formerly of Stephens City/Middletown, VA, went to be with the lord at her home in Fort Ashby, WV on Friday, May 10, 2013.
The family will host a memorial luncheon starting at 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the home of James and Sherry Powell, 250 Chapel Lane, Middletown, VA, followed by a viewing and visitation at Stover Funeral Home in Strasburg from 6-8 p.m.
She was born the daughter of William "Zack" Funk and Ida May Foster Funk of Rileyville, VA. She attended Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren in Middletown, and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W
. Ladies Auxiliary, and past president of Stephens City Post #9646. She was a member of the Strasburg Women of the Moose
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Hockman; infant son, Roger Lee Hockman; and brother, Norman Ottie Funk.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Sue Wymer of Fort Ashby, WV; a son, Richard Edward Hockman and Brenda of Stephens City, VA; two grandchildren, Sherry Lynnelle Powell and husband James, and Zack Edward Hockman and wife Melissa; seven great-grandchildren, James Kevin Powell, Jr. and wife Cynthia, Justin Allen Powell, John David Powell, Treasure Snow Hockman, Kristen Rebecca Hockman, Addison Jane Hockman; one great-great grandson, Levi Braxton Powell; two great nephews, Benny and Norman Mann; many other family and friends too numerous to name. The family would like to make mention of three special friends that Lottie held close to her heart, Middletown Police Chief Phil Breeden, Carol Bailes of Fort Ashby, WV, and Richard Lowery of Winchester.
