Lydia Catherine Leonard, 65, of Woodstock passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock after a long battle with cancer.
She was born in Edinburg, Virginia on June 29, 1947, the daughter of the late Charles F. Vann, Sr. and Mary Grubbs Vann. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Robert Vann and her beloved Boston terrier, Baby.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald E. Leonard, Jr. of Edinburg and Herman N. Leonard of Mt. Jackson; a daughter, Pamela J. Leonard and her lifetime companion, Todd Sloat of Mt. Jackson; four grandchildren, Ronald L. Leonard, Keith Barb, Mandi Leonard, and Rusty Sloat; three great-grandchildren, Alexia and Gavin Barb, and Wyatt Leonard; four sisters, Ellen Mitchell and husband Wayne of Arlington, Shirley Reynolds of Fitzgerald, GA, Nancy and Hunter Hutchison, and Patricia Whitted, all of Edinburg; a brother, Charles F. Vann, Jr.; and many, many more family and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 30, 2013, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
Services will be held later.
