Charlotte Rudacille Obituary
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home conducted by Elder Gary Utz and assisted by Elder Tolliver Utz and Dr. Wayne Woodard. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Rudacille was born May 6, 1916 in Bentonville, VA, daughter of the late Channing and Ruby Thompson Weaver.
She was a baker at John S. Mosby Academy and also worked in the cafeteria at Ressie Jeffries Elementary School. She was a member of Bentonville Primitive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Rudacille was the wife of the late William Jennings Rudacille.
Surviving are two daughters, Ruby Updike and husband Johnny and Lorraine Brandon and husband Barry, all of Bentonville; one son, David Allen Rudacille and wife Sharon of Front Royal; ten grandchildren, Michael Rudacille and wife Carla, Catherine R. Echols and husband Eric, John Updike, Gregory Updike and wife Rita, Neal Updike and wife Kim, Joshua Brandon and wife Stephanie, Zachary Brandon, Benjamin Rudacille, Sarah Andersen and husband Bryan, and Renee Rudacille; and eleven great-grandchildren, Scott Rudacille, Haley Rudacille, Charlotte Ann Rudacille, Rowan Echols-Rudacille, Noah Echols-Rudacille, David Updike, Kelly Updike, Brittney Brogan, Allison Rudacille, Jennifer Rudacille, and Jillian Brandon.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, William Austin Rudacille; and eight brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Maddox Funeral Home.

Aunt Charlotte was a reminder of our blessed Grandmother, Ruby Weaver. I watched her loving ways from the viewpoint of my childhood when she took us for weeks in the summer and later when she became a person to me when I finally grew up.
Her love for my mother, her sister, was unfailing and inspirational through her life and even her dying days.
Aunt Charlotte has been synonymous with love for me and my family.
We'll surely miss her and her prayers for us.

I remember fondly Mrs. Rudacille from JSMA in the cafeteria, she was always so full of life with her wonderful smile and great cooking.
My stay in the hospital in 2005 was enhanced by sharing a room with this wonderful lady.
