Daisy Peacemaker Obituary
Mrs. Peacemaker was born August 29, 1930 in Capon Bridge, WV, the daughter of the late Michael and Sallie Didawick Shipway.
She married the late John M. Peacemaker on February 14, 1948.
She worked for Shenandoah Apples and Harris Intertype. She attended the Church of Christ and she loved all flowers, especially lavender ones.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Lee Peacemaker of Winchester; three sons, John M. Peacemaker and his wife Pam, of Middletown, VA, Gary Michael Peacemaker of West Virginia and Jerry "Paul" Peacemaker of Winchester; a grandson, David A Peacemaker; four great-grandchildren, J.D. Peacemaker, Jessica Peacemaker, Laurie Ann Peacemaker and Thomas Peacemaker; three step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Johnnie L. Peacemaker and two brothers, Clarence D. Shipway and Benjamin F. Didawick.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Whitacre, VA.
