Bernard Franklin Sisk, 87, of Winchester, died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Tabernacle Church conducted by The Rev. Cecil W. Jones. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Lincoln Cemetery in Bladensburg, MD.
Mr. Sisk was born in Alexandria, VA on July 28, 1925, the son of the late Benjamin Sisk and Suddie (Berry) Richards. He was the husband of the late Delia Frances Stevens Sisk. He was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a baker for Heidi Bakery for 25 years before his retirement.
He is survived by three daughters, JoAnn McDonald of Keyser, WV, Ruth Pennington of Bentonville, VA, and Traunda L. Sisk of Winchester, VA; two sons, Vance C. Meadows of Manassas, VA and Roger L. Sisk of King George, VA; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and 12 siblings.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary F. Sisk.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, VA from 6-8 p.m.
