James Howard Lutz, age 86, a resident of Strasburg passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at his residence.

A memorial service for Mr. Lutz will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor Hardy Lutz officiating.

Mr. Lutz was born in Woodstock, VA on April 25, 1927, a son of the late Noah Casper and Mary Gay Funk Lutz.

He was a U.S Army veteran having served in the Korean War, and was a retired bus driver with Greyhound, formerly known as Trailways, having served over 40 years. While employed he received the Two-Million Mile Safety Award.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Roy, Onna, Clarence, Noah, Guy, and Charles Lutz.

Survivors include his beloved children, Sharon A. Lutz Henson and husband, Grover "Mickey" Henson, Jr. of Strasburg, VA and Brenda M. Kimmich and husband Chuck Kimmich of Ohio; grandchildren, Heather A. Sirbaugh and husband, Pat, Christopher James Hopkins and wife, Pam; great-grandchildren, James Alexander Hopkins and Blake Cameron Hopkins.
