Mitchell Ellis Clark, 81, of Strasburg, VA died on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the Winchester Medical Center.

Mitchell was born on April 23, 1933 in Frederick Co., VA, a son of the late John W. and Grace Miller Clark.

He was a 1953 graduate of Capon Bridge High School and a veteran in the U.S. Army. He worked for Potomac Edison Company for 32 years in Winchester, VA. He was a member of Strasburg United Methodist Church, Strasburg Young Farmer Association, Winchester Chapter of National Railway and Historical Society. He was an avid railroad, tractor and antique enthusiast.

Mitchell married Alice Strother Clark on January 8, 1954 in Winchester, VA.

Surviving with his wife of 60 years is a son, Michael A. Clark of Strasburg, VA; three cousins, Gladys Haais of Baltimore, MD, John and Bob Miller of Owings Mills, MD.

A funeral service will be held at the Giffin Funeral Home in Capon Bridge, WV on Sunday, August 3, 2014 at 2:30 PM. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Funkhouser. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Gore, VA.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2:30 PM on Sunday.
