Robert Bailey (Bear man) Hiner, 77, of Edinburg, died at his residence June 15, 2014 .

Mr. Hiner was born on September 20, 1936 in Monterey, the son of the late Howard and Madge (White) Hiner.

In addition to his parents Mr. Hiner was preceded in death by a daughter and his sister Mildred Taylor.

Mr. Hiner served in the U.S. Army from 1958-1961 and he served in the Korean War. He was an inspector for VDOT in Edinburg for 40+ years and he worked for R K K consulting firm for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife Fay; sons Douglas Hiner of Mt. Sidney, Michael Hiner of Mitchells, Ronald Stead of Edinburg and Vernon Stead, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV; grandchildren Natalie, Valeria, Elizabeth and Kristina; a great granddaughter Mackenzie Venable.

A memorial service will be held at later date.
