Beloved wife of James William Judy, Sr. of Middletown, cherished Mother of four, Grandmother of 13, Great-Grandmother of 10, passed away August 7, 2012.

Anna was born on August 5, 1932, to Charles Elmer and Margaret Anderson Fleming (Madigan).

Surviving siblings are Charles A. Fleming and wife Ruth, Barbara M. Hummer and husband Robert. Her brother, William H. Madigan, preceded her in death.

Her children are daughter, Lou Ann Judy Thompson, and Rev. Alan Gray, son, James Judy, Jr. and wife Ashby, and daughter, Robin Judy Bentley and husband Charles. Her daughter, Cynthia Judy Perry, preceded her in death.

Grandchildren include: Matthew Clark Thompson and wife Janna, Ryan Richard Perry, Colby James Perry and wife Katie, Blake Christopher Perry and wife Rachel, Lance Alexander Perry, Lacey Anne Perry, Shelly Barr-Katz and husband, Dr. Gene Katz, James William Judy, III and wife Josie, Jessica Anne Festa and husband Frank, Zachary Allen Judy, James Alexander Bentley, Jared Anthony Bentley and John Andrew Bentley. Great- Grandchildren include: Hunter Clark Thompson, Trent Richard Perry, Jamilee Festa, Savannah Lynn Judy, James William Judy, IV, Yiannah Lee Katz, Cynthia Grace Perry, Berkeley June Perry, Sadie Anne Judy and Avalynn Cynthia-Anne Larrick and a number of nieces and nephews.

Anna graduated from Handley High School, Class of 1950. She was a member of Reliance United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, children's choir director, director of Vacation Bible School, and she was active at the district and state levels with the children's ministries.

She was a charter member of the Sherando Warrior Club, Sherando High School, where all of her grandchildren attended.

She owned and operated Ellie's Bridal Shoppe and Jr. Boutique for many years, served as a bookkeeper of Diamond Uniforms and Formalwear and became partner in Judy Excavating and Landscaping in 1986.

Anna was initiated into Spurmont Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, on May 7, 1957. She was elected Worthy Grand Matron in 1990-91 for the Grand Chapter of Virginia, Order of the Eastern Star. She served the state in numerous positions and served internationally during the 1994-1997 Triennium.

An Eastern Star service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home on Thursday evening, August 9. The family will receive friends following the service until 8 p.m.

A Celebration of her life will be held on Friday, August 10, at 11:00 a.m. at Reliance United Methodist Church with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be private.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
