Blanche Marie Marlin, 84, died at home September 7, 2018.

A long-time resident of Front Royal, Virginia, Ms. Marlin was born October 13, 1933 in Montclair, New Jersey, the daughter of John and Dorothy (Roberts) Bickler.

A flight attendant for National Airlines in the 1950's, Ms. Marlin served on the last flight out of Cuba when American civilians fled at the start of the Castro regime. She later worked in customs security at JFK International Airport (then Idlewild Airport) in New York City. She retired as a cargo customs officer at Dulles Airport as an employee of British Aerospace.

In her retirement, Ms. Marlin enjoyed bird watching and exploring the back roads of Warren County and surrounding areas.

She is predeceased by her parents; her brother, John "Jack" Bickler Jr.; and husband, Cal Marlin.

She is survived by a niece, Karen Collins of Pompton Plains, New Jersey; and a nephew, Robert Bickler of Hampstead, North Carolina.

There will be a private funeral in Pompton Plains, New Jersey where Ms. Marlin will be laid to rest.
