Bonnie Bryant Gochenour, 75, of Maurertown, died Thursday, July 11, 2013.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2013, 2:00 pm at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Woodstock by Rev. Nathan Robinson. Burial will follow at Valley Pike Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

Mrs. Gochenour was born January 28, 1938 at Martinsville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Paul Wilson and Grace Lucille Prillaman Bryant. She was a 1956 graduate of Warren County High School. She then attended Longwood College and later graduated from Madison College. She retired as an English teacher in Shenandoah County Public Schools where she taught at Central High School for 31 years. Mrs. Gochenour was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Woodstock.

Mrs. Gochenour was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Bryant Hall.

Mrs. Gochenour is survived by her husband, Ralph "Mike" Gochenour of Maurertown; three sons, twins Larry Michael Gochenour of Stephens City and Gary Lee Gochenour and his wife, Tracie of Haymarket and Matthew Paul Gochenour of Maurertown; a daughter, Kelly Gochenour Phillips and her husband, Blake of Woodstock; a sister, Pat Bryant Carter and her husband, Mark A. Carter of Front Royal; a brother-in-law, Yates Hall of Front Royal; two grandchildren, Hunter and Meredith Phillips of Woodstock; a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, July 13, 2013 at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock from 6 to 8 pm.
