Charles Edward Heflin, 75, of Front Royal, VA, died on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 2:00­6:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Front Royal.

Mr. Heflin was born June 10, 1937 in Markham, VA, son of Oscar B. Heflin and Kathleen Gordon Heflin Vance. He was in the National Guard and was a U.S. Army veteran serving his country during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Heflin retired as a lineman from IBEW Local 26. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW and DAV.

Surviving are two children, Kimberly Berry of Poulan, GA and Mike Heflin of Strasburg, VA; one sister, Rita Martin of Front Royal; one brother, Robert Heflin of Hudson, FL; seven grandchildren, Jessica Bishop, Valen Bishop, Garrett Berry, Michael Heflin, Holden Heflin, Brady Heflin, and Tanner Heflin; and three great grandchildren, Abby Mathis, Jada Boges, and Jazzmine Griffieth.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar Heflin, Jr. and Larry Heflin.
