Denise Cheeley Buono, age 57, of Richmond, passed on after a courageous fight with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, July 21, 2012.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert J. Buono and two daughters, Andrea N. Buono and Holly C. Buono. She is also survived by her father, Dennis W. Cheeley of Lunenburg, CO; mother-in-law, Gertrud Buono of Crewe; and many surviving aunts, uncles and cousins from both her mother's and father's sides.
Denise was a devoted wife and mother. She greeted everyone she met with a smile and hug. In her eyes no one was considered a stranger, only a new friend and lasting relationship to be made. Her memory will live on through all the joy she emparted to the world in her time here.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24 at Bliley-Chippenham Funeral Home, 6900 Hull St. Road, Richmond. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 at Bliley-Chippenham with interment at Westhampton Cemetery in Henrico Co.
In lieu of flowers, she requested contributions be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
