Dudley Chester Webb, Jr., 76, only son of the late Dudley and Idell Webb, passed away peacefully Feb. 1, 2014 at home with his family at his bedside.

He was born on June 3, 1937 in Alexandria, VA and was known to all his friends as "Chett".

He loved his Florida Gators and NASCAR. Back in his early years he raced short tracks and also was Pitman for Bobbie and Donnie Allison. Later he worked with Neil Bonnett. Chett loved to 2-Step and Line Dance. That is how he met the love of his life and soul mate, Val. They loved to travel all over the country in their R.V. and cruise the Caribbean. He also loved working in Property Management but above all, he loved his friends and family.

Chett is survived by his wife of 22 years, Val Webb; children: Cheryl Cook (Dave) of NJ, Carla Webb of VA, Dudley "Chett" Webb, III of VA, Brooke Swann of GA, and Blair Swann (fiance, Brandon Wolf) of Green Cove Springs, FL; sisters: Betty Wilson (Bill) of NC, Beverly Scibelli of VA, and Barb Wright (Kenny) of VA; and grandchildren: Andrew Triplett, Marcus Hathaway, Sammy Webb, Charli Ann Webb, Jordan Vangorder, Noah Vangorder, Alysa Moore, Savannah Brown, and Brianna Brown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Sat., Feb 8th at Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery 111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park. Chaplain David Osachy will officiate. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service in the funeral home.

Chett will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
