Elsie Elizabeth Steward Pence, 77, of Middletown, VA, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home.

A graveside service for Mrs. Pence will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Panorama Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Fred Mauck officiating.

Mrs. Pence was born January 25, 1941, a daughter of the late Harry M. and Ella Louise Smith Steward.

She was a member of Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren.

She was the wife of the late Charles Edward "Eddie" Pence Jr.

Mrs. Pence was a retired school bus driver, having worked four years for Warren County Public Schools and the remaining 36 years for Winchester Public Schools.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, James Steward, Garland Steward, P. Ann Dellinger, and Allen Smith.

Survivors include her children, Charles Ray Pence, and Virginia P. Henry and husband Sammy, all of Middletown, VA; her granddaughter, Crystal Nicola and husband Jason; one great granddaughter, Emily "Emma" Nicola; one brother, Robert Larry Steward and wife Sharon of Middletown, VA; her dog, Polly; her cat, Lucy; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
