Ernest F. "Buddy" Myers, Jr., 90, of Timberville, died January 26, 2012, at his residence.

He was born January 3, 1922 in Tenth Legion, and was the son of the late Ernest F. Sr. and Rebecca Miller Myers.
He worked as a truck driver for Mason Dixon Trucking for 15 years, owned Rudolph's Christmas Tree farm, and owned his own tax and bookkeeping service. He was a member of the Mt. Jackson Masonic Lodge #103, served in the Army during WWII, and was an avid gardener, flower lover, sports fan and wood worker.
On December 31, 1942 he married the former Violet Weaver, whom survives.
"BooBoo" is also survived by three daughters, Debbie Daily and husband Bob of Harrisonburg, Trenna Haislop and husband James of Timberville, and Bonnie Slick and husband Ed of Hagerstown, Maryland; grandchildren, Tony Miller of Harrisonburg, Mick Hersh and Tammy Hersh, both of Hagerstown, Maryland, Robbie Daily of Dayton, and LT. James Haislop, Jr. of North Carolina; 8 great-grandchildren; cats, Partner and Squeaky.
His sister, Gladys Finney, preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends from 2–4 p.m. on Sunday at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
At Mr. Myers request, his body was cremated.
