Esther M. Potter, 95, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013, at Heartland of Martinsburg.

Born July 31, 1917 in Nethers Mill, VA, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Judd and Leona Jenkins Lillard.
She was a member of New Beginning Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by her children, Woodrow Burke, Jr. and wife, Juanita, their children, Ryan and Missy of Martinsburg; William E. Burke and wife, Betty, their children, Dawn and Mitch of Boston, VA; Bernice Lee Woodward and husband, Lewis of Washington, VA, their children, John Lee Jr. and wife Darlene and foster child, Ray Clatterbuck of Culpeper, VA; Bernice's stepchildren, Wayne Woodward and wife, Sharon, and children, Sherri, Shannon, and Darren of Washington, VA; Janet Leake and husband, Ronnie, and child, Mia of Luray, VA; a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Mitchell Potter; and son, Garnett Wilson Burke; two sisters, Virginia Donaldson, and Retha Rogers; and one brother, Joseph (Joe) Lillard.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at New Beginning Full Gospel Church with Rev. Oscar Motilal officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
Bearers will be Jerry Moran, Ryan Burke, Leon Blye, Corey Voorhies, Ronald Leake, and John Conner.
Honorary bearer will be Paul Canby.
