Everett Shifflett Obituary
The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. at Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowman's Crossing by the Rev. Barbara Rhodes and Rev. Warren Brubaker. Burial will follow at Grace United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Mr. Shifflett was born June 26, 1925, son of the late Henry Clint and Alice Mowbray Shifflett. He was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Mount Jackson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Following his Navy service he worked at Blue Bell for 44 years where he retired as manager in 1987. He was a member of Mt. Jackson Lions, VFW 2447, Shenvalee Golf Club and Mt. Jackson Bowling League.
He is survived by his wife, Jena Dellinger Shifflett; Two daughters, Candice Locke and husband Jimmy of Woodstock; Karen Costie and husband Jim of Canton, GA; a son, Dale Bean and wife Julie of Edinburg and three sons from a previous marriage; two sisters, Ruth Morris and Ruby Haney of Elkton; two brothers, Wilmer Shifflett and Marshall Shifflett of Elkton; three grandchildren, David Hinegardner, Dawn Trillhaase and Alison Thompson; five great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven siblings.

You may not know me but, I went to school with Paul and always thought he was a nice guy but I left back there in 1972 when my Father died, moved to Calif. and now live in Colorado. I keep up with the stuff from home though the news paper online' I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I will say an extra prayer for his family tonight and know he is smiling down from heaven on you all.
