Glen E. McClanahan, 71, of Maurertown, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Woodstock.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11 a.m.. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. The Reverend Richard Craver will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maurertown Brethren Church Cemetery.

Glen was born April 27, 1947 in Toms Brook, Virginia. He was the son of the late Oscar and Bertie Huffman McClanahan.

He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Edinburg VFW #2447, the Woodstock American Legion #199 and the Woodstock Moose #575.

He was a self-employed truck driver and later drove a truck for the Family Dollar in Front Royal, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by nine siblings.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Hall McClanahan; a son, Ricky Lee McClanahan of Centerville, Virginia; three sisters, Nancy Andrick of Winchester, Virginia, Ruby Stepp Eldridge of South Dakota and Patsy Clark of Edinburg, Virginia; a brother, Jerry Allen McClanahan of Edinburg; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Ridgeway, Dallas McClanahan, Wayne McClanahan, Clayton Myers, Billy Newman and Nathan Blaylock.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 18 from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are in the care of Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
