Irma Pauline Ryan Fadley, 89, of Mt. Jackson, VA, died January 9, 2012 at the Bridgewater Home.

She was born June 22, 1922 in Shenandoah County, and was a daughter of the late Kirby and Virginia Dellinger Ryan.

She worked at Byrd and Fredrickson Packing Shed and Aileen before retiring. She was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Timberville.

On May 1, 1943 she married Lee Hampton Fadley, who preceded her in death November 22, 1977.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Hassler of Mt. Jackson; two sons, Wayne Fadley and wife Debby of Broadway, James Fadley and wife Barbara of Woodstock; two sisters, Garlene Thompson, and Margaret Funkhouser, both of Woodstock; two brothers, John Ryan of Mt. Jackson, and Richard "Butch" Ryan of New Market; 5 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Kennedy; two brothers, William Ryan and Arnold "Buck" Ryan; and a sister, Doris Lambert.

Rev. Joel Walkley will conduct a funeral service 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at St. Luke's United Church of Christ. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7–9 p.m. on Wednesday at Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.
