Irvin Eugene Copeland, 84, of Middletown, VA, passed Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

A graveside service for Mr. Copeland will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Mount Carmel Cemetery with Pastor Keith Warren officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA.

Mr. Copeland was born in Frederick County, VA November 8, 1933, a son of the late Russell Eugene Copeland and Mamie Alice Mauck Mitchell.

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War.

Mr. Copeland worked as an auto mechanic and loved horse racing.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Copeland of Middletown, VA; his children, Ray Copeland and wife Kathy of Gibsonville, NC, Brian Copeland of Winchester, VA, Cynthia Funkhouser of Strasburg, VA, Sharon Wymer and husband Mike of White Fish, MO, and step daughter, Dianna Price and husband Bill of Indian Trail, NC; and his grandchildren, Kris Copeland, Jonathan Copeland, Stacie Athey, Colt Cowgill, Michael Wymer, Matthew Wymer, Ashley Pressley and Christopher Price.

Pallbearers will be Colt Cowgill, Bill Price, Christopher Price, Billy Richard, John Connell and Dustin Pressley.
