Landon Eugene Wolfe, 85, of Edinburg, died Thursday, November 22, 2012, at Winchester Medical Center.

He was born November 11, 1927 in Conicville, a son of the late Russell L. and Elston V. Funkhouser Wolfe. Landon was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force. He worked as a police officer for the U.S. Capitol. He was a member of the Union Forge United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #199 Woodstock and the Fraternal Order of Police.

Landon is survived by daughter, Barbara Bone, Stockbridge, CA; son, Landon E. Wolfe, Jr., New Market; sisters, Georgie O. Bauserman, Winchester, Ruby V. Barb, Woodstock, Darlene Hepner, Edinburg; brother, Russell L. Wolfe, Jr., Rockville, MD; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Betty Dinges, Edinburg.

Landon is preceded in death by his brother, Harold R. Wolfe.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, at Valley Funeral Chapel, Bowmans Crossing, officiated by Reverend John F. Taylor, Jr. Burial is private. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
