Larry Dale Politte, 69, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away in Camp Hill, PA on Sunday, May 5, 2013, after valiantly fighting a long illness.
The Guest Book is expired.
Mr. Politte was born in Granite City, IL on September 18, 1943 to John Wallace Politte and Edna Eileen Swaney Politte. He then moved to Front Royal, VA with his mother, Edna Eileen Frazier, when she remarried to Cletus David Frazier in March of 1952.
He is survived by his much beloved sister, Peggy Ann Shokes, her husband, Edward Shokes, and his loving niece and nephew, Tashina Falene Shokes and Shiloh Nevarre Shokes; and by his sister, Becky Reedy, her son, his nephew, Jason Michael Reedy, of Inwood, WV, and a great niece, Alexis Reedy in Florida.
His loving aunt, Erna Meyer and cousin, Joann Brooks also survive him in St. Charles, MO.
He helped to raise Mr. Paul Rosson from a young teenager and his family later in life who continue to be a part of our family to this day.
He has left behind many loving and very close friends in his lifetime that have truly impacted and made a difference, too.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and adventure for life and was willing to try many things in his different careers, laying carpet being a longtime one of them. Food was another enjoyable hobby for him that gave him great pleasure in procuring, fixing and palate.
He had a large heart and was sometimes boisterous in sharing it, but to all who knew him, he's left behind this love as his greatest legacy. He will be sorely missed and has left behind a void no one but him can ever fill.
A small ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at Panorama Memorial Gardens in the chapel located on Strasburg Road.
