Margaret Ann Pangle Herrell, 90, of Winchester, Virginia, died Monday, March 11, 2013, in a local nursing facility.

Mrs. Herrell was born in 1922, in Chester, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late W. Ray and Lydie R. Pangle. She was a graduate of Stephens City High School. She was a retired Buyer for Belk. Mrs. Herrell was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church in Winchester.

Her husband, Charles D. Herrell, whom she married on February 14, 1948, preceded her in death on May 5, 1980.

Surviving are two sons, C. David Herrell and Robert W. Herrell and wife Diane, both of Winchester; four grandchildren, Amanda Herrell George, David Herrell, R. Tyree Herrell and Samantha Herrell; four great grandchildren, Katlyn Herrell, Lucy George, Henry George and Lillian Herrell; two sisters, Ruth Titterington of Charlottesville, Virginia, Dorothy Evans of Reedsville, Virginia and one brother, William Pangle of Winchester, Virginia.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel with Pastor Clyde Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends at Market Street United Methodist Church for a reception following the funeral service.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Lebanon Church Cemetery in Lebanon, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Robert Clark, Lou Manzy, George Patterson, Bob White, Jimmy Dix, Mike Puffinberger, Skip Glasscock and Ron Evans.
